Pipe and Drape Bases
Quik Stage pipe and drape is a quick and easy plus cost-effective way to set up temporary or portable walls, room dividers, backdrops, trade show booths. We offer two different type of connecting hardware to connect your uprights to your bases and they are Slip Fit and Screw Fit. Slip fit is the most popular because it quickest and easiest to set up. We offer bases with both 1½" or 2" diameter pin or nipple that the upright pole slides over. The diameter pin you need is based on if your order or won 1 ½" or 2" diameter pipe or uprights. The screw fit is exactly that, where you screw the upright pole into the base and some end users prefer it as it uses less storage space but it takes slightly longer to set up. Slip Fit - "The Time Saver System". The main advantage of the Slip Fit System is that it can be set-up very quickly, especially when used in conjunction with storage carts. This system uses a pin or nipple that is attached to the slip fit base. The upright slides quickly and easily over the nipple. Every base is punched with 3 counter sunk holes so that the nipple can be positioned in the center of the base or at either edge. Most bases depending on size now have a stacking slot allowing the bases to be stagger stacked, to save more storage room. Standard slip fit bases are zinc plated silver plus we offer a black powder coated version at an additional cost.
Screw Fit - "The Space Saver System". The screw-in system utilizes a threaded insert that is riveted into the bottom of the upright. Every base is manufactured with two extruded holes, one in the center of the base and one at the edge. The extruded hole guides the upright into the threaded hole. The second hole is useful when uprights are placed next to a wall. The nipples are attached to the upright with four steel rivets and are designed to be replaced in the field by you with simple hand tools if ever damaged. The screw fit base was designed with dimpled corners that allow the bases to be stacked. If storage space is a problem for you, then consider the screw fit system. Screw fit bases are powder coated black.
